New PSA Roles

Your PSA Needs You!

Our intention is to serve you as our members and to make the PSA the greatest tribe you could hope for. To achieve this, we all take our turn at investing our time into the PSA and giving back some of the support, encouragement, and opportunities we have benefited from throughout our own professional journeys.

“The PSA is such an important resource to me that I took the opportunity to give something back.”
Nathan Littleton – Past President, Chair and Communications Director

“Volunteering within the PSA allows me to influence positive change for our members.”
Mike Pagan – Past PSA Foundation Director, GSF Representative

Our Association has ambitious plans for growth and development, and our members’ needs continue to shape our strategy. However, it is our dedicated volunteers who bring that strategy to life.

Phase B Recruitment Is Now Open

Following the successful completion of Phase A of our recruitment campaign, we are now inviting applications for a number of key leadership and operational positions as part of Phase B.

These roles are critical to the continued growth, development, and success of the PSA. They offer a fantastic opportunity to contribute your expertise, influence the future direction of the Association, and help deliver even greater value to our members.

Applications are open from 5 June until 22 June.
Interviews will take place between 23 June and 7 July.

How Could You Play a Part in the Future of the PSA?

These opportunities are not all determined by your membership level or how long you have been a PSA member. Instead, they are based on the skills, experience, creativity, and commitment you can bring to the role. Some positions may require a greater understanding of the PSA and its operations, while others offer an excellent opportunity to become more involved and make a meaningful contribution.

We recognise that members have different levels of availability. Some roles can be undertaken alongside a busy speaking business with a modest time commitment, while others, particularly Board-level positions, may require a more significant investment of time each month. Whatever your circumstances, there may be a role that’s right for you.

Please note that applicants may only hold one PSA volunteer role at a time. To reduce the risk of conflicts and avoid unmanageable workloads, we are unable to support individuals taking on multiple positions simultaneously. Recruitment takes place annually, so if you are currently serving in a role, there will be future opportunities to get involved in other capacities.

If That Wasn’t Enough…

It’s widely recognised that volunteering delivers significant personal and professional benefits, including:

  • Building valuable relationships and connections
  • Supporting positive mental wellbeing
  • Developing new skills and experiences
  • Enhancing career and business opportunities
  • Creating a sense of fulfilment and purpose
  • Increasing overall happiness and satisfaction

We’re Recruiting Now!

We’re looking for dedicated and enthusiastic members to join our team in the following key roles:

Board & Strategic Leadership Roles

Operational & Support Roles

These roles will play an important part in shaping the future of our Association and supporting our members at every stage of their PSA journey.

Continuing Our Focus

Over the coming years, we remain committed to:

G = Grow your speaking business and grow the PSA

A = Add Value to every membership level

S = Simplify our systems, processes, and member experience, making them easier to navigate, more effective, and more sustainable

Every volunteer role contributes to these goals and helps ensure that the PSA remains the professional association of choice for speakers across the UK and Ireland.

Interested?

Please click the role descriptions above to learn more about each opportunity. If you have questions, we encourage you to speak with the current role holder where applicable, connect with a Board Director you know, or contact the PSA Chair, Yvonne Emery, who will be happy to point you in the right direction.

Taking on a volunteer role within the PSA—whether as a Director, Officer, Coordinator, or Board member—is an incredible opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our Association. You’ll have the chance to influence the future direction of the PSA, expand your professional network, develop new leadership skills, and make a meaningful difference to the professional speaking community.

We look forward to receiving your applications and working together to make the PSA an even stronger, more valuable, and more connected tribe.

And In Case You Were Wondering…

The PSA is committed to making diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging part of everything we do. We welcome applications from all interested members, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration regardless of sex, gender identity or expression, age, race, disability, religion, sexual orientation, pregnancy, marital status, or background.

Come and join the team. We look forward to working with you.

Yvonne Emery
PSA UK & Ireland Chair
