Vice President – PSA UK & Ireland Ambassador
Term – 2 years from July/August 2026 to July/August 2028

This post is open to Professional or Fellow members only, who have a minimum of 5 years members of the PSA UK & Ireland.
Are you an experienced and committed PSA member with a desire to serve at the highest level of the Association? Do you aspire to the Presidency and want to begin that journey by supporting and representing the organisation more widely?
We are seeking a Vice President – PSA UK & Ireland Ambassador to work closely with the President and support the wider leadership team.
This is not a Board Director role. It is a developmental and ambassadorial position designed as a recognised pathway to the office of President. The role provides the opportunity to gain insight, visibility and experience at national level while actively contributing to the life and profile of the Association.

- You are comfortable engaging with members at all levels across regions and special interest groups.

- You are open to learning, feedback and development as part of your leadership journey.
Experience in regional leadership, national roles, event delivery or volunteer governance would be advantageous.

The Role
This is a voluntary ambassadorial role working directly with the President and supporting national activity. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the President in representing the PSA at events, conferences and key gatherings.
- Acting as an ambassador for the Association, promoting its values, standards and strategic direction.
- Visiting regions and communities where appropriate to strengthen connection and visibility.
- Assisting with national initiatives, campaigns or priority projects as agreed with the President.
- Working as part of the national Conference Team to learn the planning, logistics and delivery process of PSA conferences.
- Gaining hands-on experience in conference preparation and execution as part of succession planning for the Presidential responsibility of overseeing conference delivery.
- Developing a broad understanding of the Association’s governance, strategy and operations in preparation for potential future Presidency.
- Standing in for the President at selected engagements when requested.
The Vice President – PSA UK & Ireland Ambassador works collaboratively with the Board and volunteer leaders but does not hold Board Director status.

As Vice President – PSA UK & Ireland Ambassador, you will serve as a visible representative of the PSA while developing the insight, relationships and operational experience required of a future President — including understanding the delivery of national conferences. It is both a contribution and a preparation: supporting the current President while building the foundations for future leadership of the Association.
