Term – 2 years from July/August 2026 to July/August 2028
Applications are open from 5 June until 22 June.

Are you passionate about creating welcoming member experiences? Do you enjoy connecting people, facilitating learning, and helping others get the most from their membership?
We are seeking a Membership Events Coordinator to play a key role in engaging, supporting, and retaining PSA members throughout their membership journey.
Joining the PSA should be more than simply becoming a member—it should be the start of a valuable and rewarding experience. As Membership Events Coordinator, you will help ensure that new and existing members understand the opportunities available to them, build meaningful connections within the Association, and make the most of their membership benefits.
You will be the friendly face welcoming new members into the PSA community, helping them navigate resources, networks, learning opportunities, and pathways for professional development.
If you enjoy supporting people, facilitating conversations, and helping others succeed, this could be the perfect role for you.
Working closely with HQ, the Learning & Development Director, the Membership Upgrade Coordinator, and Regional teams, this voluntary role combines event facilitation, member engagement, and relationship building.
About You
You are approachable, supportive, and genuinely enjoy helping people feel welcomed and included.
You are a confident facilitator who is comfortable hosting online sessions and engaging with groups of varying sizes.
You have strong organisational skills and can coordinate multiple activities throughout the year.
You communicate clearly and professionally and are able to build positive relationships across the Association.
You are proactive in identifying opportunities to connect members with resources, learning opportunities, and other aspects of the PSA community.
You have a nurturing personality and enjoy helping people gain confidence and find their place within a professional network.
The Role
This is a voluntary member engagement and event coordination role designed to help members maximise the value of their PSA membership.
Responsibilities include:
- Hosting New Members Sessions four times per year.
- Helping new members connect with key PSA resources, including regional WhatsApp groups, the PSA Facebook community, and Speaker Hub.
- Hosting “Why the PSA?” sessions twice per year for prospective members who want to learn more about the Association.
- Liaising with HQ regarding new members each month and ensuring they receive invitations to onboarding and membership events.
- Working with the Learning & Development Director to promote relevant courses, programmes, and online learning opportunities, including CAPS.
- Collaborating with the Membership Upgrade Coordinator to identify and signpost members who may be ready to progress to the next membership level.
- Supporting member engagement initiatives that encourage participation, connection, and retention.
- Acting as a welcoming point of contact for new members as they begin their PSA journey.
Why This Role Matters
Member engagement is at the heart of a thriving professional association.
As Membership Events Coordinator, you will help ensure that members quickly feel part of the PSA community, understand the benefits available to them, and build the connections that encourage long-term involvement.
Your work will directly contribute to member satisfaction, retention, and professional development while helping strengthen the sense of belonging that makes the PSA such a valuable tribe.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the Association while developing your own facilitation, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
