Virtual Regional President

Could you be our first Virtual Regional President?

We are delighted to announce that the PSA virtual region is about to launch, so we are looking to appoint a regional president.

Reporting to and being supported by the Director of Regions, you will be the face of the new virtual region, ensuring that each month’s meeting runs smoothly and follows the PSA style guide and code of ethics.

Interviews for the Virtual Regional President role will take place on Thursday 22nd June 9:30 – 13:30. 

The deadline to apply for this position is 12:00 midday on Monday 12th June. 

About You

You will be a confident communicator who can demonstrate a strong understanding of the PSA ethos and guidelines as you will be responsible for overseeing this in your region. Additional core skills you will be able to demonstrate are:

  • Organisational skills to oversee all the elements involved in running the virtual region.
  • Empathy to help committee members in their roles
  • Collaborative skills to work with your committee, operational team, the Director of Regions, fellow RPs and meeting attendees

You’ll take pride in looking after your Zoom room, your region, speakers and attendees and ensuring every PSA meeting provides value for members.

The Role

This is a voluntary role and some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and overseeing a regional committee
  • Sourcing and booking keynote and showcase speakers for each monthly event
  • Liaising with the operations team to oversee Zoom account
  • Submitting marketing material to the operations team each month
  • Distributing information from the board and operations team to members, under the guidance of the Director of Regions
  • Attending monthly RP meetings where possible
  • Working with the VP to ensure a smooth handover and transition for them as the next RP
