Your profound understanding of financial management and strategic planning is coupled with a commitment to ethical standards. With expertise in pricing events, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, you are well-versed in navigating the complexities of finance in a non-profit setting. Your analytical skills are sharp, and your ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial colleagues is second to none.
You have a proven track record of delivering and enhancing financial best practices. Your collaborative spirit provides the perfect platform for working as part of a team of directors, volunteers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
You will endeavour to discover novel approaches that will enable the Association’s leadership to invest in developing projects and ventures that improve the member experience.

The Role
As the Finance Director, you will be pivotal in steering the Professional Speaking Association of UK & I (PSA UK&I) towards fiscal excellence.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Develop and oversee financial strategies that align with our organisational goals.
- Working with the Association’s accountants to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support decision-making processes.
- Determine the ticket pricing and overall budgets of regional and national events.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the Board based on financial analysis and projections.
- Supervise financial auditing processes and maintain accurate records.
- Lead financial discussions at board meetings and provide insightful guidance.
- Foster a culture of transparency and accountability within financial operations.
