25 September|18:00 - 20:00|Online - Zoom - See full address

About this event

In a world where virtual delivery is no longer a fallback but a strategic advantage, Stef du Plessis invites you to rethink what’s possible behind the webcam.

With over 4,000 presentations across five continents, Stef has built a speaking business that thrives both in-person and online. He’s spoken to audiences of 10,000+, translated into 18 languages, and earned every major accolade in professional speaking. But more importantly, he’s built a sustainable business model that blends keynote delivery with enterprise-wide transformation programmes—many of which are now delivered entirely online.

In this session, Stef will share:

  • How to turn virtual presenting into a profitable business stream.
  • The mindset shift from “fallback” to deliberate strategy.
  • Real-world examples programmes delivered online for clients like McLaren, Kmart, and Barclays.
  • What it takes to stay booked, relevant, and impactful—whether you’re on stage, in a boardroom, or on Zoom.

This is not a theory. It’s a practical, experience-rich session from someone who’s done it, refined it, and continues to lead the way.

Whether you’re a Fellow or a new Associate, you’ll leave with tools to speak more and better… online.

Jackie Barrie:  “Unboring: Creative ways to use Zoom to engage your audience”

If you’re a speaker, trainer or presenter, you’ll keep people’s attention and help embed the learning when you make your online and hybrid events more engaging.
Jackie is renowned for using audience participation both on-site and online.
She will demonstrate 10 of Zoom’s features that you might not know about, and suggest ways you can use them for your own talks and training sessions.
Here’s what speakers say about her “Unboring” book:
“Within 10 minutes I’d found at least three quick and easy ideas that I could drop into my next meeting, and at the end one of the delegates said it was the best online meeting she’d attended all year.”
“Simple but powerful and fun ideas about making our time sitting in front of our screens far more enjoyable and therefore effective for both the facilitator and their audiences.”

Stef Du Plessis

Stef has delivered 4,000+ presentations across five continents over the past 35 years, including speaking on stages like the Million Dollar Round Table, to an audience of some 10,000 people from 70 countries, translated into 18 languages. Along the way, earning every award and accreditation in professional speaking.

He’s not just built a successful speaking career – but, together with his Australian-based business partner, Steve Simpson (who has also earned everything that NSA Australia has to offer) they have built a sustainable business boasting long-term intervention clients like McLaren, Kmart and Barclays Bank (who used their UGRs concept in 26 countries). And they have partnered with other speakers and thought leaders, who now use the UGRs IP to run culture-by-design programmes with their own clients, under license.

Stef’s business now blends in-person and online keynotes and workplace transformation programmes into a model that works across formats and borders. Stef was an early adopter of virtual presenting – not as a fallback, but as a deliberate strategy. Today, he delivers enterprise-wide programmes online, with impact.
He understands what it takes to stay booked, stay relevant, and stay profitable – whether you’re on a stage, in a boardroom, or behind a webcam.

Stef is the founder of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa. He played a central role in building the association from the ground up, and today, the PSASA’s highest honour – the Stef du Plessis Founders Award – carries his name.

He’s spoken on main stages at PSA and NSA events worldwide – including being the only South African to headline at the NSA in the USA. He’s also been invited to speak at multiple Global Speakers Summits – including Singapore, Cape Town, and Dubai.

Stef’s not here to talk theory. He’s here to share what actually works – from someone who’s done it, refined it, and still does it today.
