About this event

Graham Shaw – “Sketching Ideas That Stick”

Graham is an international conference speaker, award-winning author, and speaker coach. He’s best known for his ability to communicate ideas with simple sketches — a skill that’s made his TEDx talk “Why people believe they can’t draw – and how to prove they can” one of the most-watched in TED history, with over 40 million views.

Graham’s session will show you how to make your message memorable using visual storytelling — even if you think you “can’t draw.” With clients like Google, HSBC, and PwC, and books like The Speaker’s Coach and The Art of Business Communication, Graham brings a wealth of experience to help you stand out.

Mel Sherwood – “Offline Secrets For Online Success”

How do you prepare for an important speech or training session? Are you focusing only on the content and missing out on vital preparation that will help to bring your message to life?

Often, it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it that determines your level of impact and influence. But how do you ensure that your body, voice and mind are in peak condition to elevate your delivery?

Just like an athlete warms up before a race, so should speakers warm up their communication tools before appearing in front of an audience.

In this session, you’ll learn how to:

  • Prepare your body to enhance your online presence and present with greater impact
  • Develop and energise your voice so that it is stronger, richer, freer and more expressive
  • Manage your mind so that you command the (Zoom) room and remain calm, centred and focused
  • Direct your intention “through” the camera lens to create a powerful connection with your audiences
