About this event
Every professional speaker is on a journey – from the first nerve-wracking gig to the main stage, and from uncertainty to mastery. This July at PSA Thames Valley, we’re celebrating that journey in style!
First up we have a number of regional members contesting our Professional Speaker of the Year regional heat. Who will represent Thames Valley in the semi-final at the flagship PSA conference the Speaking Business Summit in Oxford in October? You will learn a lot by watching our contestants, so do come along!
Our first keynote speaker is Aaron Phipps MBE, with a special micro version of his acclaimed keynote, “Blood, Sweat and Wheelchairs.”
A three-time Paralympian and gold medal-winning Wheelchair Rugby champion from Tokyo 2020, Aaron has spent over a decade navigating the world of professional speaking alongside elite sport – from primary school assemblies to the world’s biggest stages.
With characteristic honesty and humour, he’ll share hard-won guidance on pricing yourself, avoiding early mistakes, and finding your way in the sometimes wonderfully bonkers world of professional speaking.
This is a rare chance to hear from one of the most distinctive voices on the PSA circuit. This is one not to miss!
To round the evening off, our Fellows Q&A Hot Seat is your chance to put your most pressing speaking and business questions directly to our two well known and highly respected Fellows. ‘Fellow’ status represent the very pinnacle of the PSA – this is the kind of candid, expert insight you simply can’t get anywhere else. Come with your questions ready.
Doors open at 17:30 for networking and chatting with all the members of the Thames Valley PSA community, with the programme getting underway at 18:00.
Come early, connect freely, and settle in for an evening that will leave you energised, equipped and ready for your next stage. After we close at 21:20 we can head to the bar to continue those conversations.
