The Thames Valley April event is all about helping you engage with your audience. The audience in front of you at an event and also those who you need to engage with to get the bookings for your event. Would you like to know how to inject more energy & engagement in your talks?
PSA Fellow Jackie Barrie will be expertly guiding everyone in an interactive session designed to ensure you know the HOW of injecting energy and engagement into your talk. In her session, you’ll experience a range of activities to enliven your audience and help embed your message. Note that you’ll get involved rather than just sitting in your seat and listening to ensure you have:

Our second keynote is from former PSA London Regional President Anthony Stears with a talk entitled ‘Making Money From Speaking’. Anthony will share a variety of speaker business models that all make money, so you can see what suits your style and type of business best. He’ll then give you his ‘5 Conversations Stears’ to show you how to take control of your conversations, and get people taking action as a result of speaking to you. Keynote speakers
As a copywriter, Jackie Barrie is renowned for clear communication via the written word. As a speaker and trainer, she’s famous for audience participation – but only when it helps make the point, otherwise, it’s pointless.
In response to demand from PSA members, she published ‘Unboring’ in 2022, a book of activities you can use to enliven your Zoom meetings. This followed ‘Experiential Speaking’, a book of creative icebreakers and energisers published with superb timing in 2019, before we knew lockdown was coming.
Jackie is a PSA Fellow. She joined in 2011, co-founded the South East region in 2014 and ran it as joint president for 2 years. She’s been a professional copywriter since 1983.
A published author and international speaker, that often uses training to accelerate the learning process. He has fast become the go-to person when it comes to telephone engagement, and helping companies to improve both sales and service through conversation.
Anthony Stears is better known as “The Telephone Assassin” and he’s on a mission to get businesses talking again and stopping people from hiding behind their emails and social media. As a conversational strategist he helps clients to get in front of more of their ideal customers and getting more business from their existing clients.
Anthony has been speaking for over a decade now and is an active member of the PSA, Professional Speaking Association. He’s spoken all over the world in front of audiences of up to 4,000 people… some events with up to 11 different interpreters at the back of the room.
As the Past President of PSA London from 2019-21 (yes… through Covid) Anthony is passionate about helping speakers raise their game, and their fees.
