PSA Scotland West March 2026: Storytelling for Speakers

About this event

Our March PSA Scotland West event focuses on Storytelling for Speakers and how intentional storytelling can transform a talk from informative to memorable. This session is designed for professional speakers, aspiring speakers and anyone who uses speaking as part of their business, whether you are just starting out or already being paid to speak.

The afternoon begins with training from speaker coach Susan Perry, who will explore how storytelling works as a strategic tool rather than an optional extra. Susan will challenge the idea that experience alone creates great talks, showing how well-crafted stories help audiences connect, retain information and take action, without requiring personal disclosure or oversharing.

Our professional keynote speaker, Naomi Smith, will then share the honest, behind-the-scenes reality of building a credible and commercially viable speaking career. From early doubt and unpaid gigs to brand positioning and stagecraft, Naomi will pull back the curtain on what it really takes to move from wanting to speak to being booked, paid and remembered.

Alongside the training and keynote, the event includes Member Spotlight talks, networking and opportunities to connect with others who are actively building their speaking skills and businesses.
