PSA North East January 2026: Test, Try & Mastermind – Start the Year by Sharpening Your Speaking

Kick off the year by testing ideas, not just talking about them

January is the perfect time to experiment, refine, and reset — so for our first North East meeting of the year, we’re doing something a little different.

There’s no external speaker this month. Instead, the evening is designed to be highly practical, fast-paced, and focused on you and your speaking business.

This session combines short showcase-style performances with an energising group process that helps you unlock opportunities and solve problems quickly. You’ll leave with clearer ideas, sharper material, and practical input you can use immediately.

What you’ll experience on the night

Showcase-style testing (5 minutes at a time)

Members will take turns putting something “on the floor” to test in front of a friendly, supportive audience.

This could be:

• A new opening or closing
• A half-baked idea you want to explore
• A new story or slide sequence
• Fresh jokes, visuals, or concepts
• Something you’ve been meaning to try but haven’t yet

You don’t need a finished piece — this is about experimenting, learning, and improving.

If you’d like a slot to test something, just let us know in advance.

Accelerated Masterminding for Groups (AMfG)

We’ll then run two high-speed rounds of Accelerated Masterminding — a dynamic alternative to traditional mastermind sessions.

• Round one: An opportunity or idea you want to develop
• Round two: A challenge or problem you want help solving

This is not slow, passive discussion. AMfG is structured, energetic, and designed to generate insights quickly, drawing on the collective experience in the room.
