Are you still wondering what to put on your list of New Year resolutions? May I suggest that the first thing you should resolve is to attend the first PSA London event of 2024!

We’ll be starting the year as we mean to go on – with a day packed with great speakers and sessions full of useful content that will make a difference to your speaking business, and how you run it.

You can look forward to two superb keynotes, showcases, an Ask The Expert session and plenty of networking opportunities to catch up with old friends and make new ones:

Chantal Cornelius -
Do You Stand Out As A Speaker?

We’re delighted to welcome the current PSA National President back to the London stage. Chantal will challenge us to focus on what makes us stand out as speakers.
Do potential clients struggle to know what makes you different, and why they should book you? Do they appreciate what makes you REALLY different to the others in your field, in what we all know is a highly competitive industry?
Traditional USPs don’t work for speakers, so Chantal will introduce you to a more effective way of showing your prospects what makes you the right person to book.

Ask The Expert – Dave Henson -
Your Slides Suck No More in 2024

Even good speakers produce bad slides. Once Dave realised this, he began a crusade to eradicate boring visual communications. Now he teaches people how to produce slides and presentations that wow audiences – and makes talks memorable and effective. This is your chance to learn from an expert in the visual field, and to get the answers you’ve always wanted to know about the visual elements of your presentations.

Jackie Handy -
The Power of I – How to Leave Your Customers Loving You!

“The Power of I” refers to the impact that Inclusion can have on the world. It also refers to the small steps that “I” have the power to take, which will create positive change and generate more repeat business.
Jackie is a Fellow of the PSA who has supported hundreds of individuals across the world to accelerate their performance. She has developed a deep understanding of human behaviour, and in this session she’ll show that when we all do a little, the world can change a lot.
By focusing on the diversity of your audience, you create deeper connections with them, which will leave them loving you.

It’s a bitter-sweet occasion for me, because I’ll be handing over the crown to your new Regional President for London, Steve Whitton. I can only hope he finds the role as enjoyable and fulfilling as I have!

Please book your ticket now, and I look forward to seeing you there.

Vicky O’Farrell – Regional President PSA London.

Chantal Cornelius - FPSA – National President 2023-2024

Chantal Cornelius established Appletree Marketing in 2000 and has helped hundreds of coaches, consultants and speakers to grow their businesses.

She provides simple, practical, down to earth advice to help businesses grow. She’s written two books on marketing and business survival. She’s working on her third, to show businesses how to stand out in a competitive industry, using emotional connections in their marketing, to build relationships with their clients.

Chantal is a Fellow of the PSA. She was the Marketing Director for the PSA for four years and is past National President. She lives in the UK, working and speaking around the world.

Dave Henson

Trained in photography and audio-visual production, David Henson set up The Regent Slide Company in 1986 and spent years producing thousands of 35mm slides for many and varied businesses. But it was spending time sitting in audiences listening to professional speakers that brought home the realisation that even good speakers produce bad slides. And now he’s on a crusade to eradicate excruciatingly boring visual communications and to teach people how to produce slides and presentations that wow their audiences and that make their talks memorable and effective.

Jackie Handy

Jackie Handy is a popular speaker, author and workforce culture specialist. She helps organisations build inclusive, connected and higher-performing teams, with increased performance and engagement.

With almost 30 years’ experience in executive recruitment, leadership development and inclusion strategy, Jackie combines professional expertise with personal narrative, inspiring behaviour change in high pressure businesses.

In 2023, Jackie solo-hiked the 800km Camino de Santiago, an experience that deepened her understanding of human connection, courage, resilience under pressure and blisters!

These insights, together with the latest research shape her engaging presentations, which have won her multiple awards across the PSA and Speaker Awards. A fellow of the PSA and described as a ‘master of taking the audience on a journey’, Jackie’s talks spark curiosity and unlock compassion.
