About this event

Does every story you tell earn its place?

We’re often told that stories create connection. But a story isn’t valuable just because it’s personal.

At November’s Professional Speaking Association Ireland event, we’re looking at how to find, shape and use stories that build trust and grow your business.

Maureen McCowen delivers her keynote, “Stories That Earn Their Place”.

As information gets easier to access, your experience and perspective can set you apart. But only when you shape your stories around what matters to the listener.

This interactive session goes beyond the usual advice to “tell more stories”. Maureen will explore how to find stories worth telling, how to avoid forcing a lesson that isn’t there, and how to decide whether a story strengthens your message or simply takes up airtime.

Because a good story isn’t about the teller. It’s about what the listener takes away.

But that’s not all.

We’ll have two Showcase talks from PSA members Angela Cox and Joe Dalton, each followed by constructive feedback to help develop and strengthen the talk

Come for the stories. Bring your own. Leave with ideas you can actually use.

Join us at PSA Ireland November 21st, 09.00 to 13.00, at the Maldron Hotel, Newlands Cross, Dublin.
