We all have a natural way of communicating, our “presenting groove”. The trouble is, over time that groove becomes a rut, and business demands presentations we simply cannot deliver from inside it.
Richard Pascoe is the “Guru Grandfather of presentation skills training”, co-author of the Amazon best-seller The Versatile Presenter, and a man who spent 18 years at Procter & Gamble discovering that the best presenters aren’t the most polished, they’re the most flexible. He’ll show you how to flex between Caregiver, Magician and Explorer, and how focusing on your task changes everything.

Keynote: How to Construct and Deliver a Memorable Keynote Speech – with Rikki Arundel (They/Them)
We are hugely excited to welcome Rikki Arundel to East Midlands this month. As one of the founders of the PSA UK & Ireland, and with over 40 years’ experience as a business leader, trainer, coach and keynote speaker, Rikki has quite literally helped build the room we’re all sitting in.
Most PSA members arrive as experts in their field, with the qualifications and experience to prove it. But becoming a Keynote Speaker demands a different mindset entirely. Rikki has helped found six Toastmasters clubs and coached thousands of speakers, and this session is your masterclass in what separates a good talk from a genuinely memorable one.
You’ll leave knowing how to:

Keynote speakers
Rikki Arundel – MSc, PSAE, FPSA, ALAM(hons)
Rikki Arundel is a multi-award winning keynote speaker and presentation skills and storytelling coach. After founding the PSA in 1999, they came out as transgender nonbinary. Faced with considerable discrimination, Rikki completed a master’s degree in gender research and established themselves as a social entrepreneur and popular international speaker on gender issues and LGBTQ history, including delivering two successful TEDx talks. Today, Rikki delivers keynote speeches on advanced presentation skills and draws on their 50 years of speaking experience to coach leaders and speakers in advanced presentation skills and storytelling through their Speakers Ecademy.
Richard is one of the UK’s top experts in advanced presentation skills, especially in commercial business situations.
Richard spent 18 years at Procter & Gamble, in a range of UK-based and global roles in sales, insights, and learning & development. In addition, he soon became their go-to global expert on advanced presentation skills training – becoming known as the “guru grandfather of presentation skills”.
Since 2016 Richard has shifted this ‘side hustle’ into being is sole focus. Today he runs Making Presentations. He works with large multinationals like Procter & Gamble and Carslberg, UK companies like Channel 4 and TTP, and heroic charities like the Trussell Trust and Yorkshire Cancer Research. He designs and delivers training courses, leads executive coaching and delivers keynote talks all an array of topics within making presentations – “The science and art of saying things brilliantly”.
Richard is the co-author, with Kirstie Hawkes, of “The Versatile Presenter: Master 12 styles to get the response you need” – a book that tells you how to break-out of your one fixed style of presenting and to embody any of twelve different styles. It transforms you into a truly versatile business presenter.
