About this event
Set up for Success! With awesome inspiration from Paul McGee, Beth Sherman, and Kay Korsh.
Get yourself speaker ready for spring, with energising and action-focused talks from stand out industry experts!
We’re thrilled to welcome Paul McGee “The SUMO guy” to our stage to inspire and excite us on our own journeys as speakers, leaving us equipped to deal with any challenge that might come our way!
And it doesn’t end there… Alongside Paul’s keynote, you’ll also enjoy a second collaborative keynote delivered by seven-time Emmy award winning comedy writer Beth Sherman, and celebrity stylist and speaker style coach Kay Korsh! In this one-of-a-kind double act, you will learn why humour and style are powerful tools to create connection, remove distraction and reinforce your message – and how to use them in a way that’s authentic to you.
And as if that wasn’t enough… We will also be hosting our inaugural Emerging Speaker Competition 2025, where we will be crowing our very own regions best emerging speaker from our talented lineup of Associate Member applicants!
Phew! Now THAT is an event!
Whether you’re a seasoned speaker or just starting out on your speaker journey, this event is jam packed with ideas and inspiration to help you step up, speak up, and get noticed!
And in our true warm and welcoming East Mids style there will be plenty of networking opportunities and friendships to be made.
Are you ready to set yourself up for success?
*Important Note: You will see that we have a NEW ticket price! This is because we no longer offer a hot buffet as part of this event. Instead there will be plenty of hot and cold drinks available and snacks during the break. The Village Hotel has an onsite sports bar with a full hot and cold menu available, as well as a Starbucks coffee shop, where you are free to purchase your own snacks should you wish.

Paul McGee (aka The SUMO Guy) is an international speaker and bestselling author on change, resilience, motivation and inspiring leadership.
Beth Sherman is a speaker, comedian, and seven-time Emmy Award-winning Hollywood comedy writer who’s written for the biggest shows in American television, including Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Ellen, and the Academy Awards.
As a speaker, she helps companies achieve healthier workplaces and more profitable business relationships by showing employees how to harness the power of humor to create quick connection and genuine engagement with clients and colleagues.
Kay Korsh has spent 20 years dressing actors like Elizabeth Debicki, Riz Ahmed, Ben Whishaw and Lily James.
Kay started Mind Over Fashion to combine her passion for style with her love for learning about human behaviour to help professional speakers all over the world gain more confidence and find their Signature Speaker Style, which is aligned with their message. Because whether we want it or not, we are being judged for the way we look, even before we start speaking.
