About this event
Every month at PSA East Midlands, one of our members takes the stage for a showcase. In September, we’re turning that up a notch. Instead of one showcase, we’re dedicating a whole afternoon to them: back-to-back showcases, heaps of feedback, and the most amazingly supportive room of people rooting for each other. Scroll down for full details and tickets.
Super Showcase Spectacular | 3:00pm – 5:00pm (Open to all – Just £5 extra)
A whole afternoon given over to our members. Back-to-back showcases mean more speakers, more feedback, and more of the energy that makes PSA East Midlands what it is. Whether you’re on stage or in the audience, expect honesty, generosity and a room full of people who want to see you succeed.
Main Event | 5: 45pm – 9:00pm
Keynote: The Power of Visibility, How PR Builds a Speaking Business, with Lise Kaye-Bell
Following her recent win as Social Entrepreneur of the Year, Lise Kaye-Bell joins us to share how she has built a powerful, purpose-driven speaking career.
As founder of Soundproofbox, Lise has grown an organisation that, in just over two years, has reached more than 25,500 people through impactful events and immersive theatre experiences. Her work doesn’t just raise awareness, it creates transformation at scale.
In this engaging, insight-led talk, Lise explores how she created opportunities to speak, built demand for her voice in rooms she was never allowed into before, and turned her message into a paid platform.
You’ll leave with insight into:
- How visibility and storytelling open doors that talent alone can’t
- Why strategic exposure amplifies impact and positions you as a leader in your field
- What it really takes to build demand for your voice and get paid for it
Keynote: From What to So What, with Carol Benton
Before she returns home to Australia, we’re honoured to welcome the amazing Carol Benton for one final keynote with us. Sad for us, but such a privilege to have her.
No matter how good you are at what you do, being great doesn’t always translate into sales, contracts or new business. Sometimes that’s because of how we’re communicating; we’re not speaking our customers’ language.
Carol explains the difference between the two languages of business: ‘What’, which is all about us, and ‘So What’, the language our customers need to hear in order to choose us. She shares her Connect, Convince, Convert methodology, brought to life with real-world stories and examples.
You’ll leave with:
- An understanding of the two languages of business, What and So What
- A framework for communicating through the customer journey: Connect, Convince, Convert
- Six practical, actionable tips to help you speak your customers’ language and win more business
Stronger Together
As a region, we continue to build on our #StrongerTogether focus. A room where people step up, take risks, and grow, supported by a community that wants to see them succeed.
