PSA Ireland August 2025: Engage – Keep the connection alive — virtually

16 August|09:30 - 13:00|Online - Zoom - See full address

About this event

This month is an online event.

As we experience some downtime during the summer months, why not sit back, relax and enjoy a PSA meeting from the comfort of your own home.

August is all about interactivity and presence in online and hybrid spaces. Learn how to hold attention, boost participation, and keep audiences hooked—no matter the platform.

Join us online for a powerful morning of connection and engagement. We will welcome Simon Raybould wirh his keynote StoryMaking. How to use stories in your presentations not just be a storyteller’.

Eksteen de Waal will also be joining us to share a keynote presentation. He will be sharing with us how using FBI and CIA techniques we can make our keynote not only memorable, but effective in affecting change.

This session is designed to spark ideas and deepen relationships.

Who should attend?:

  • PSA members looking to engage more deeply with the 2025 theme of Collaboration Evolution
  • Speakers and professionals interested in engagement, impact, and meaningful storytelling.
  • Speakers and aspiring speakers who are seeking to connect with like-minded peers and grow through shared experiences.

Bring an open mind and heart—this could be one of the most valuable PSA meetings you attend this year, until the next.

NB: Agenda is subject to change ~ Photography and videography will take place

Eksteen de Waal

Eksteen De Waal (MBA) is a motivational speaker, writer, author, thinker, storyteller and National President of PSANL.

Eksteen has always been in the business of helping others. He is ardent about taking others to a place where they live and breathe their strengths in all they do, helping them rediscover their identities through proactive steps.

Eksteen provides the frameworks that will see people realise life-changing experiences that shape them to become the best version of themselves. He not only helps others discover the actions they can adopt to move towards a life of happiness, fulfilment and ultimately flourishing, but he also shows people how to make this a lifelong, enjoyable journey!

Simon Raybould - Regional President - PSA North East
Simon Raybould started his career as a research scientist, using “very hard sums” to look at causes of childhood cancers.  He had a 24 year career as a research scientist working with organisations as varied as The W.H.O., the Westminster governments (of various colours!) and the police. This training is one of the things that makes him special as a speaker – he rarely “does opinion”. Instead in draws on a wide research base to stick to what’s to been proven to be true.
Along side this he’s worked as a teacher, lighting designer for dance companies, author, speaker, playwright and professional actor.
He’s also a reasonably proficient fire-eater!
