This is NOT an April Fool’s Joke!

Thank you for being part of our PSA community. A community built on respect, excellence and developing the connections you need for your speaking business to thrive. As we venture forward into a new era of the PSA, we have taken the decision to increase membership fees.

We haven’t increased the annual membership cost for a very long time. So long that we can’t actually remember when the fees last went up! We held off increasing fees during the pandemic, acknowledging the difficult time everyone was experiencing in the industry. However, on 1 April 2023, we’re increasing the membership fee for all members by 10%.

Over the last few years, the PSA has managed to keep going, working hard to keep providing the support you need:

• Monthly regional events went online, increasing our chance to develop our virtual presenting skills and create alternative earning.
• We ran two 3-day online Conferences, and last year we held many regional events back ‘in the room’. They will all be in the room this year – apart from the new Virtual Region (more on that to follow!) And then there was Dublin for the GSS …!
• Last month we launched a new website. It’s been a long time coming, and more is still to come. First, we’ve made it easier for you to find and book events, network with fellow speakers and access needed resources. Next, we’re building a new members’ database into the site to make it easier for potential clients to find you.

As you can see, we’re investing in your PSA.

To ensure we keep looking after you, we have found it necessary to increase the cost of your membership – just a little bit. And we’ll increase the fees by a similar tiny amount on the 1st of April every year from now on. We’ll give you plenty of notice of each annual increase so that you can budget for it.

For now, there is nothing that you need to do. If your membership renews after 1 April, you’ll notice a slightly higher fee on the renewal email that you receive.
