A Message from our National President, Nathan Littleton

We’re an interesting bunch! With around 600 members – keynote speakers, trainers, coaches, after-dinner speakers, emcees and everything in between – it really is the best place for professional speakers to learn and grow. Wherever you find yourself in your business or speaking journey, there’s sure to be something to help you.

There’s a good reason why so many people call the PSA their ‘tribe’ – we learn from each other, we share our expertise and experiences, but most importantly we pride ourselves on supporting and encouraging each other to be our best.

It’s an organisation that has given so much to me over the 10 years or so that I’ve been a member. My own speaking business wouldn’t be what it is today without the advice and support I’ve received from PSA colleagues. And that’s not to mention the great friends I’ve made along the way.

That’s why it’s a real honour to be the PSA’s National President for 2022-23.

The theme for my year as National President is ‘Just one thing’. I’m sure you’ve invested time and money into learning the skills and strategies that are needed to grow your speaking business and become a better speaker, but how much of what you learn do you put into practice? It’s not what you learn, it’s what you DO that makes the difference.

Whether it’s from one of our 100+ regional events each year, the national conventions or a discussion online, focus on just one thing that you can implement right away that will make the biggest impact for you.

I’d love nothing more than to see every one of our members become better, even more successful speakers over the next year and beyond by taking meaningful action.

One of the best opportunities to do just that will be 13th-15th October 2023. Our annual convention, The Speaking Business Summit, is coming to my home town of Birmingham (the best city in the world!). It’ll be jam-packed with valuable content and is a great opportunity to learn from some of the very best speakers in the business. Plus, it’ll be a whole lot of fun!
