Move Forward With Momentum this Autumn at Thames Valley PSA.

Are you ready to take action? Move yourself and your speaking business forward?

Are you on track to achieving the goals you intended at the beginning of the year?

At September’s Thames Valley meeting we will check in on your goals, see how you are doing, expand your thinking, open new doors and put more tools and tips in your Speaker Tool Box.

Our first keynote speaker is Steve Bustin, former National President of the PSA and holder of the PSA’s most prestigious award, The Professional Speaking Award of Excellence.

Steve will be sharing his talk ’10 things I wish I’d known before I became a compere’.

  • Find out what it takes to be a professional event compere and whether it’s right for you
  • Find out how to get gigs as a compere and build it into your business offering
  • Find out why you really want to avoid a raffle if at all possible.

We continue the theme of facilitation with a Panel Discussion to get your questions answered and we welcome via Zoom, Jacqui Harper, host of The PSA 2023 Spring Conference, IMPACT .

Our second speaker is Thames Valley member Steve Catchick with his talk entitled The ‘Dressing Gown – Sales through Service’.

Service used to be considered the back door to sales but today it is the key to unlock sales.

How do you differentiate yourself or your organisation? There is little that stands out in the marketplace for long, if at all. New technology and services is soon caught up by competitors.

The one distinction is the customer experience, which is today’s competitive battlefield and over which you have total control. It is the difference that makes the difference and can make or break a relationship and either lose or retain a customer.

Companies now address this but many are becoming focused on the process, rather than the customer? In this talk Steve focuses on the human touch and shows how being customer focused, not process focused, whether a large company, a small business or a speaker, can drive engagement, reduce churn and win sales through service.

By listening to Steve you will:

  • Learn three archetypes and discover how you may drift into each
  • Discover the elements leading to sales through service.
  • Discover how to be an ambassador in your business.
