About this event
We’re looking forward to another packed event this month at PSA Staffordshire!
Our first speaker is Ges Ray with his keynote:
Do you engage your audience? Of course you do; you’re PSA Speakers! But… Engaging an audience simply means getting their attention, so once you have it, what are you going to do with it in the few seconds you have left to keep them with you? Then how can you eliminate audience furtive phone fumbling?
As a team we discover & implement skills going beyond merely engaging your audience to Engaging, Compelling, Haunting then Obsessing(!) them with your knowledge, your business so they always remember you, always come back to you…
Takeaways:
Your mission, should you choose to accept it! (Cue music for ‘Mission Impossible’…) is to ‘engage’ with ECHO:
- Engage your audience
- Compel them to keep listening
- Haunt them with some form of emotional engagement
- Obsess them with (your) knowledge so they keep coming back to you
Our second speaker is Lois Creamer with her keynote Book More Business: Position and Grow Your Speaking Practice.
Great market positioning is a must for your intellectual property business. We’ll cover aspects of positioning, targeting, promotion, and sales. This will be a high-content program filled with information and strategies that can be implemented immediately to grow your business.
Key Takeaways:
- Create a “positioning statement” – your concept and outcome statement describing what you do
- Fast track success by implementing targeting in your sales and marketing
- Leverage the value of your intellectual property by repurposing
We will also have …….
2 x 60 second speakers!
A book-based education slot to help you in life / business.
Showcases from Abigail Irozuru and Derek Cheshire.

Ges’ skills are built on a background of four decades of commercial roles, from Bank Manager to Business Development Manager twinned with four decades of Public Speaking, delivering workshops, Keynotes, MC and radio broadcasting. Traditional ‘in the room’ workshops are complemented by delivering via media such as Zoom, Skype & webinars.
Author of ‘Speak Performance’ – a handy pocket size book to take with you on the train, dip into over a coffee ahead of your meeting to refresh practical techniques that you can use immediately.
Choral singing (2nd Bass voice; Ges recently put his own confidence skills to the test when singing on stage at the Carnegie Hall, New York…) enhances a practical & effective mix of voice skills, business & presenting experience to equip you and your team with the skills to speak, present and pitch.
Since 1998, Lois has been working with speakers, consultants and subject matter experts who want to fully monetise their message. She’s written “Book More Business: Make Money Speaking” and “The Speaker Author: Sell More Books and Book More Speeches”, and is a great supporter of the PSA UK&I.
