p.s. Please bring your PCs/laptops as we will be going online and drafting emails

Following our welcome and good news we will start by asking you about your ‘PSA Value’ statement – in 2024, what do you want from your PSA events and what can you bring to PSA Scotland?

The remainder of the day will focus on your speaking credentials, understanding speaking models and how you might best get more gigs in 2024. Through a series of worksheets you will…

  1. Define/refine your speaking credentials including e.g. your expertise, qualifications & experience together with media coverage, your Unique Selling Proposition (USP) and others.
  2. Define/clarify which speaking model(s) will align with your business objectives.
  3. Plan how to secure more gigs in 2024 by defining/clarifying e.g. your market niche, your portfolio and target events and organisations etc.
  4. Draft an email for your prospective speaking clients – and send it!

We are delighted to announce that during our afternoon session we will be joined briefly by Sarah Furness MA Cantab RAF.

Keynote speakers

Sarah Furness
Sarah Furness

After graduating from Cambridge University, Sarah followed her dream to become a combat helicopter pilot in the RAF. As a Squadron Leader she led on operational combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and she was the first female helicopter pilot to fly and lead UK Special Forces missions in Iraq. During her experiences both at home and at war, she made two important discoveries; – resilience and performance under pressure is NOT instinctive – BUT humans have an extraordinary ability to thrive and even excel under pressure when they know how. She now has ONE mission. To share the secret to outstanding resilience, performance and courage “under fire”. Sarah is the No1 Best Selling author of FLY HIGHER – train your mind to feel as strong as you look. All of her mental training techniques are backed by science and proven in combat. She is fluent in “alpha male” and whilst she takes her work seriously, she doesn’t take herself too seriously. She has an 8 year old son who she adores and who inspires her every day.
