Are you feeling overwhelmed?

The past few years have been difficult for many of us. For many speakers, individuals and teams, we’ve ended up feeling like it’s all too much.

The problem? Overwhelmed people don’t make great choices. If you’ve been feeling this way at any point recently, now is the time to make a change.

Overwhelm can be incredibly detrimental to our professional speaker businesses – it can completely sap our focus, compromise our decision-making, and take away all motivation to do the work that needs to be done for success.

In PSA Scotland’s February 2023 event, the PSA UK and Ireland’s winning speaker from 2022 will help you get a grip on how to manage overwhelm.

In addition, our second guest speaker will highlight the benefits of ‘showcasing’ your speaking skills and material.

By attending this event, you’ll walk away with tangible tools and tips, as well as strategies on how to tackle any setbacks that come your way together with an experienced perspective on ‘showcasing’.

You’ll also have the chance to network with fellow speakers and learn more about what they’re doing to stay motivated and productive.

Tea/coffee and a light buffet supper will be provided.

*Keynote session: Overcoming Overwhelm with Hilary Briggs*

As a leader, it’s essential to know how to monitor yourself, discover how to regain control, and minimise overwhelm in the long run. With these skills, you’ll be able to tackle any overwhelm head-on and come away with a better understanding of how to handle it.

In this keynote session, Hillary Briggs, PSA Speaker Factor Winner 2022, will explore the main causes of overwhelm and outline actions you can take both as an individual and as part of your organisation to achieve a sense of calm in times of chaos.

You will learn…
• How to identify and manage signs of dangerous levels of overwhelm.
• 3 practical strategies you can use to tackle any overwhelm coming your way.
• 3 key areas to address to minimise levels of overwhelm

*Keynote: ‘It’s Showcase Time!’ with Peter Edge*

Whether you are a new or established speaker, this session highlights the benefits of ‘showcasing’ at PSA events (and beyond), describing the personal, professional and business benefits of presenting a ‘showcase’ talk at any of the PSA regional events.

You will learn…
• How to make the most effective use of the showcase concept.
• How to develop, grow and test your material.
• How ‘showcasing’ can impact positively on imposter syndrome.

Showcase: Mykola Latansky will present a 20min showcase titled ‘The Genius Inside You’.

So don’t miss out! Register for PSA Scotland’s February event today.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
