Lauren McWilliams – Using photography to grow your personal brand as a professional speaker
Being a speaker is hard work; being a successful speaker is even harder. Why? Because you not only need to know about speaking and about your area of expertise… but about things like marketing yourself too.
That’s where this session comes in!
We’ll be looking at how you can use photography to grow your personal brand as a professional speaker – to get more gigs!
You’ll learn how to use photographs to have more of a marketing impact – and in particular you’ll learn how to use your mobile phone to do that. Sometimes you need the pro-shots with the hard-core kit but sometimes you need to know about the studio in your pocket.
Nevil Tynemouth – Networking for fun and money
Networking is recognised as a core business skill – but all too often it fills us with dread. Or doesn’t give results. Or both. In this session, we’ll look at what we can do to get a better ROI on our networking without selling our souls.
Learning outcomes from the workshops:
- Knowing and understanding the power and reach of your network
- Having more confidence in face-to-face and online networking
- Developing better communications skills when networking
- Knowing how to open a conversation, build trust, move on, and engage a whole room
- Knowing how to engage others in a meaningful conversation

Keynote speakers
Lauren McWilliams is a brand photographer and strategist who has worked with 100s of businesses across the UK. Lauren helps entrepreneurs from coaches to SMEs to visually stand out with purpose-led photography and strategy.
Nevil launched two of the UK’s most familiar brands in Dyson and BlackBerry. He has worked as part of FTSE100 companies’ management teams for over a decade and in sales for 25 years.
Working at BT, Nevil designed, launched and lead a new sales coaching programme for over 400 colleagues from General Manager to front line salespeople and this programme is still in place and being used to great effect.
Nevil is the author of “Sales Success on LinkedIn”, which enjoys five-star reviews on Amazon.
