PSA North East 12th July 2023: The Amazing 2023 PSA Speaker Factor Heats

We are delighted to bring our July event to you from our new location – The Maldron Hotel in Newcastle.

Speaker Factor is the PSA competition for emerging speakers and is an annual contest for Associate Members, with regional heats taking place across the Summer, and semi-finals and finals taking place during the Annual Convention in October.

Join us for the North East Heats in July where our winner will be chosen to go and represent the North East in the National Semi-Finals at the Convention for a place in the National Finals. There are only five places in the National Finals.

Meet your three great Speaker Factor contestants:

Julia Wood has worked for the NHS for nearly all her career and has always focused on supporting those she works with to have the ability and confidence to effectively apply their new learning, rather than relying on her support long term. She helps influence and improve services through the sharing of good practice and championing the patient voice.

Chris Cook is a double Olympic swimmer and is the guy who helps people to ‘Keep things simple’. He spends his days speaking and coaching and helps people to build their own personal resilience, overcome challenges that they face, but more importantly to help them learn what it takes in order for them to perform at their peak and ultimately thrive, not just survive.

Alexander Bell is an entrepreneur and technology enthusiast with a familiar name. He speaks to audiences and works with clients on digital empowerment, using his Tech Rules framework to teach the tools and strategies needed to embody a healthy technology culture and improve staff mindset, wellbeing and boost focus and performance.

Every year at Speaker Factor we:

Discover, encourage and nurture emerging speakers in the PSA and speaker community and give new speakers visibility within the Association – a platform to show other members what they can do.
