About this event
At PSA North East our focus is on helping you to be better at speaking and presenting in front of others regardless of your speaking experience or aspirations.
At PSA North East you get a warm welcome, a packed 3-hour session, good craic, a learning opportunity and of course… great speakers!
Keynote speaker: Julie Holmes
Pivot to Products: How to Add Products to Your Professional Speaking Portfolio
In the blink of an eye everything changed. Your plans. Your forecasts. All out the window.
Cancellations, postponements and a dose of high-octane panic leave you feeling overwhelmed, confused and uncertain about what’s next. Events might be coming back but many of us aren’t willing to put ALL our eggs in that speaking basket again.
Being a speaker was great … maybe it still is … but if we’ve learned one thing during Covid (aside from the popularity of toilet paper), it’s that we have to re-think our business models and find new ways to stabilize and diversify. After all, you’re an entrepreneur and speaking is just ONE of your products.
Takeaways:
As an inventor and entrepreneur (as well as a speaker), I’ve spent over 20 years creating and launching products for companies big and small. In this talk, I’m excited to share with you my favourite, tried and true strategies to:
- Turn revenue streams into revenue fountains
- Spot irresistible product ideas
- Productize ANYTHING (even your keynote!)
- Get excited about your business again!
Business as usual is over. It’s time to get creative. Time to rethink, reframe, retool, and renew. We are going to have a lot of fun!
Keynote speaker: Hilary Briggs
Overcoming overwhelm
As a manager and leader in the current context, some level of overwhelm is inevitable. Therefore knowing how to monitor yourself, discovering how to regain control, and minimise overwhelm longer term are essential skills.

- Signs to alert you to dangerous levels of overwhelm
- Three practical actions for you to tackle any overwhelm coming your way
- Three areas to address in your organisation to minimise levels of overwhelm for your staff
