About this event

Authenticity is one of our key themes at PSA London this year. And at our next in-person meeting, we’ve got two keynote speakers who will give you heaps of practical advice about becoming a successful speaker by being yourself, what holds you back and how can we “get over” the holding back.

As well as our keynotes, we shall continue the New for 2023 session on “Ask The Expert”

Penny Haslam – Make Yourself a Little More Confident

Penny describes herself as “a little bit famous” – you may recognise her from her time as a business presenter on BBC Breakfast, one of her many top broadcasting roles.
However, she admits she struggled throughout her career with nerves and a lack of self-belief. Now an award-winning motivational speaker and coach, she has developed three simple steps that will help to build your confidence – and stand out as your authentic self.

Penny invites you to an interactive and practical session at which you will find out how to:

  • Thwart pesky negative self-talk that threatens to hold you back
  • Quickly access rock-solid confidence, no matter how you are feeling
  • Instantly accelerate your self-belief

Perry Timms – Being Your Authentic You

Perry has more than 30 years’ experience in business change and performance, with the last two decades in HR and organisation development. He was ranked No.1 in HR’s Most Influential Thinkers in 2022.
He believes that “Being Your Authentic You” happens when your life and work operate in harmony to create a State of Flourishing.
Perry will share the techniques for creating a work experience that empowers people to achieve that state.
There will be science, systems thinking, design and stories to illustrate a strategy and business model with its roots in Ancient Greece.

Ask The Expert – Chantal Cornelius, PSA Marketing Director – How To Win Speaker Factor

Speaker Factor is the annual competition for Associate members of the PSA – and many of our members will testify to the huge benefits of taking part in the contest.
But how can you give yourself the best chance of winning?
Chantal will walk you through the four key factors you should incorporate into your five-minute presentation: Your stagecraft, script, delivery – and the all-important consideration of Bookability.
If you are an Associate who is thinking of entering Speaker Factor – and I strongly suggest you should! – this will be a valuable session to shape your entry.

You can expect the traditional warm PSA London welcome, with open networking and refreshments from 9.30am, before the meeting starts at 10.

Get your ticket booked as soon as possible to take advantage of our early-bird members’ price.

It’s going to be another enjoyable, educational and entertaining day, and we hope to see you there!
