Every one of us knows how tough it can be to overcome our inner demons when trying to build and maintain a speaking business.

Robust mental health, and techniques for turning negatives into positives, can be powerful allies.

At the next in-person PSA London event, our programme includes keynotes from two speakers  who will share a stack of useful advice designed to strengthen your mindset:

R.Micheal Anderson with his keynote “Successful Mindset for Successful Speakers”

and

Caroline Cavanagh with her keynote “Anxiety: Why it is a Good Thing”.

There will, as always, be plenty of networking opportunities, and time to enjoy breakfast and a hot lunch. Along with 2 great showcases from Anna Wardley and Hilary Briggs.

Special post-lunch session
***Content warning – contains references to suicide***

Our event falls on the weekend of World Suicide Prevention Day – and after lunch we will be staging a discussion around this highly sensitive and deeply personal subject.
We acknowledge that this may be difficult and distressing to discuss and listen to, particularly for those who have been directly impacted. We are all here to listen and learn, but we completely understand if you prefer not to join the session on this issue.
Benn Abdy Collins, a Suicide Bereavement Liaison Officer, will facilitate the conversation with your RP Vicky O’Farrell and her VP Stephen Whitton, including their personal lived experiences.

This subject may trigger discomfort or emotional distress, and Benn will be available throughout the event for anyone who may need additional support.

We are really looking forward to the event and we hope to see you there.

R. Michael Anderson

R. Michael Anderson, MBA, MA has a striking combination that creates truly impactful transformation in leaders – he has the real-life business success of founding, scaling and exiting three software companies, plus the educational background of a Masters Degree in Psychology.

This combination gives him the unique ability to connect to other leaders as a peer, then teaches evidence-based leadership skills that genuinely drive behaviour and performance.

It’s the reason that Stanford University brings him into work with their start-up ecosystem, PwC has him work with their high growth CEO’s, and companies like Microsoft, Salesforce, and Uber bring him to level up their managers and executives.

Michael shares how his Californian companies landed on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing US companies, created a culture so strong that they won the #1 Best Place to work, and Michael himself was honoured as the Social Entrepreneur of the year. In 2005 he held the office of President of the Board of Directors for a chapter of Conscious Capitalism, an international organisation dedicated to elevating humanity through business.

With his background in psychology and neuroscience, he transforms managers into true leaders with high-performing teams in high-growth companies. He’s written two best-selling business leadership books, contributes to Entrepreneur.com, and is a former radio-show host.
