Can you believe it’s nearly Christmas? Me neither. But, with the festive season now galloping towards us, it’s time to embrace the seasonal spirit as we look forward to the last in-person PSA London gathering of 2023.

And we’re going to see out the old year in style, with a day full of practical insights from leading speakers that will send you into 2024 full of resolution to take your business to new levels.

As well as two sparkling keynotes, there will be our usual showcases and as it’s Christmas, your wonderful Dave Henson will put together and deliver the ever-popular Slideshow Christmas Karaoke.

This promises to be a wonderful occasion as we say farewell to 2023. You will have plenty of opportunities to network and pass on your best wishes for the festive season to old friends and new. So please… get your ticket booked as early as possible!

Alan Stevens – Deconstructing Prometheus

Our opening keynote speaker is a Fellow of the PSA and a past national and global president. Alan has been speaking on stage for 57 years, having started out as MC of a London music club in 1966.

Alan’s main keynote is The Modern Prometheus. In what promises to be a fascinating session, he will deliver a condensed version of the speech, then deconstruct it to demonstrate how to put a keynote together.

From this presentation, you will learn how:

  • To understand types of speech structure
  • To use stories in different contexts
  • To create a commercial keynote

Neil Laughton – The Adventurous Mindset

“Adventurous” could be Neil’s middle name. He’s an award-winning entrepreneur who has organised and led more than 50 expeditions on seven continents.

Neil will describe how humans lived adventurous lives for hundreds of thousands of years. Exploring, hunting and foraging are all in our DNA. Yet we live in a society in which many of us have our food delivered to our homes in plastic containers.

Neil, whose book Adventureholic was published in October, will aim in this keynote to inspire us all to add a little more adventure to our lives. He’ll describe its key characteristics, and show how we can achieve that change successfully.

Patricia Fripp for PSA

On December 9, Hall of Fame speaker and executive speech coach Patricia Fripp will Zoom in from San Francisco and help us look closely at our presentations to better understand:

  • The purpose of the opening of your presentation
  • Multiple options you have to captivate your audience in 30 seconds
  • Magic word to make an indelible connection to your audience
  • And, as a bonus, how to stay in demand for over 40 years.

If you are not familiar with Patricia, she comes from Wimborne, Dorset, emigrated to America at age 20 and was the first woman president of the National Speakers Association.
