This year’s theme is Mindset, Skillset and Toolset, and we’re confident that you’ll walk away with actionable insights that you can apply to both your personal and professional pursuits, including public speaking.
We start with our members section, where our presenter will be our very own Barbara Moynihan. She will be delivering a session on Sharpening Your Saw: Top Tips From 20 Years Of Presentations Coaching.
Following on from Barbara’s presentation, we will have two showcases:

We finish the morning with our Keynote speaker for this event – Madeleine Black
The title of her talk is: Unbroken – Speaking the Unspeakable
“I remember wishing they would kill me to make it all end.”
It takes courage to speak the unspeakable.
But for many years, Madeleine Black felt too afraid and too ashamed to utter a word of what happened to her.
Violently attacked at the age of thirteen, her story is one of pain – but also of healing, resilience and forgiveness.
Madeleine uses her personal and moving story to shatter the shame, stigma and silence surrounding sexual violence
And to show us that it’s not the events in our life that define us, but by how we choose to reclaim our lives after them.
How we become unbroken.
Through her words, Madeleine hopes to help others find the courage to speak up, whatever their story in order to live their life fully.

Keynote speakers
| Barbara Moynihan is a past Regional President of Ireland region, PSA UK&I.
She has been working in the area of presentations coaching for over 20 years and is the MD and founder of “On Your Feet” the presentations training company. Her clients include Fortune 500 companies – predominantly in the areas of Tech and Pharma. Barbara holds several teaching qualifications and has studied the Psychology of Interpersonal Communications in UCD. She is a TEDx speaker coach and delivered her own TEDx talk in Dublin in 2016. She delivers her content in a light-hearted and participatory manner, but always leaves her listeners with solid practical tips. When she is not busy with speaking or training, she enjoys playing the ukulele and cycling – but not at the same time! |
Madeleine Black is an author, speaker, sexual violence activist, former psychotherapist and hosts her podcast show called “Unbroken: Healing Through Storytelling”
After decades of silence, Madeleine decided to share her own story publicly online in September 2014 and she completely underestimated what the response would be.
She is passionate about speaking out to end the shame, stigma and silence surrounding sexual violence and to help others find their courage and voice too.
