After enjoying networking opportunities over our buffet dinner, we’ll sit down to our visiting speakers, Laura Field and Becky Valentine, who will bring a wealth of experience from the world of drama to professional speaking.
Laura Field, a Director with over 25 years of voice coaching experience, has a background in drama teaching where she trained performers to use their voice and physical expression to communicate effectively. Now working with individuals and organisations globally, Laura’s friendly, practical style gets right to the heart of speaking effectively. In this session, Laura will share common speaking challenges experienced by clients the world over and give practical tips on how to communicate clearly and memorably.
Becky Valentine will take us behind the scenes of her time with the Royal Shakespeare Company, sharing the lessons she learned and how they apply to public speaking. Becky’s insights will help you use the art of performance to engage and inspire any audience.

Keynote speakers
Laura has over 25 years’ experience in voice coaching with consistently successful results. Her background is in Drama teaching, where performers are trained to use voice and physical expression to communicate thoughts and feelings effectively in a variety of contexts – skills needed in the contemporary workplace.
She began by working with local businesses and now works with individuals and organisations across the globe.
Laura’s relaxed, friendly style instantly puts people at ease and her practical approach gets right to the heart of speaking effectively.
Becky is a multi-award-winning and experienced Sustainability and Building Health Consultant, and co-owner of Nottingham-based Spenbeck. Through auditing, policy writing and training Becky supports the business, education and cultural sectors nationwide in maximising their sustainability, ESG and Net Zero efforts. She has particular commercial expertise in decarbonising heritage and listed buildings, is a certified Carbon Literacy Trainer and is the Environmental Board Champion at Nottingham Playhouse. Becky is highly sought after for keynote speeches, expert panellists, feature articles and podcasts and is passionate about simplifying the overwhelm to empower, inspire and motivate.
