Bringing professionalism into your speaking on every level will be the theme running through PSA Birmingham’s December meeting, coming up on Monday December 4th.
Our meeting begins with refreshments and networking from 6:00pm, (though Phil will be there from about 5:45pm) with a prompt – and slightly earlier – 6:20pm start with our speakers.
We will begin with two fabulous showcases, from Paul Devlin and Heather McClellan. Paul has recently joined the PSA and his work as a coach and mentor plus his experience of working in the NHS will be reflected in his showcase. Helen is also an associate member and new to Birmingham PSA, and both provide opportunities for learning and feedback.

As a speaker, you can’t stand out as being the best in your field unless you’re completely clear on what makes you stand out.
We work in a very competitive industry – one in which others are competing for the same speaking gigs as us. What makes you different to the others in your area? What makes you REALLY different?
Traditional USPs (Unique Selling Points) do not work for speakers. This session will introduce you to a much better and more effective way of showing your clients and prospects what makes you truly different, helping you to book the speaking engagements you really want.

- You will gain a unique insight into building emotional connections with your clients, which allow you to build the strong relationships you need.

Keynote speakers
Chantal Cornelius established Appletree Marketing in 2000 and has helped hundreds of coaches, consultants and speakers to grow their businesses.
She provides simple, practical, down to earth advice to help businesses grow. She’s written two books on marketing and business survival. She’s working on her third, to show businesses how to stand out in a competitive industry, using emotional connections in their marketing, to build relationships with their clients.
Chantal is a Fellow of the PSA. She was the Marketing Director for the PSA for four years and is now our National President. She lives in the UK, working and speaking around the world.
