Keynote speakers
As a copywriter, Jackie Barrie is renowned for clear communication via the written word. As a speaker and trainer, she’s famous for audience participation – but only when it helps make the point, otherwise, it’s pointless.
In response to demand from PSA members, she published ‘Unboring’ in 2022, a book of activities you can use to enliven your Zoom meetings. This followed ‘Experiential Speaking’, a book of creative icebreakers and energisers published with superb timing in 2019, before we knew lockdown was coming.
Jackie is a PSA Fellow. She joined in 2011, co-founded the South East region in 2014 and ran it as joint president for 2 years. She’s been a professional copywriter since 1983.
Rob May is the former Regional President of the PSA South East. He is an international business spokesperson and professional keynote speaker who thrives on educating and entertaining his audiences, challenging conventional thinking, and provoking meaningful discussions.
He is the Founder and Executive Chairman of ramsac limited, a thriving organisation where he also leads a business academy to grow and develop future leaders.
A TEDx speaker and published author with books sold in seven countries, Rob is an award-winning keynote speaker for Vistage, where he empowers leaders to grow. As The Ambassador for Cybersecurity for the Institute of Directors, he is passionate about building cyber resilience in organisations. Rob is also a Fellow of the IoD and previously served four years as Chairman of its Surrey branch.
Rob’s unique accolades include holding the Freedom of the City of London and being a Liveryman in The Worshipful Company of World Traders, even exercising his right—twice—to walk sheep over London Bridge!
Beyond his speaking and leadership roles, Rob serves on The Advisory Board of The Cyber Resilience Centre for the South East, where he collaborates with academia and police forces across Thames Valley, Sussex, Surrey, and Hampshire to bolster cybersecurity awareness.
He is a Fellow of St. George’s College, Windsor Castle, and a Fellow and Patron for Employability at Burton and South Derbyshire College. Rob was also recognised as the first honorary lifetime member of the Cloud Industry Forum for his contributions to the sector.
Known for his ability to simplify complex topics, Rob blends real-life examples, humour, and straightforward language to engage and inspire his audiences. Always positive, he is committed to helping others grow and understand the ever-changing world around them.
