About this event
Celebrating the month of love and the PSA South East vision for 2024 of “Speaking With Colour”, the February meeting introduces its two vibrant Co-Regional Presidents (Jo Lightfoot and Fiona Bennett), passionately delivering their mini-keynotes, as well as hosting a panel of expert professional speakers discussing “Love Your Speaking Business – Is Love Enough?”.
February’s theme at PSA South East is Love. Regional Presidents Jo Lighfoot and Fiona Bennett will each speak on the role that love plays in their speaking businesses; its value, power and impact and how this essential ingredient skyrockets your speaking journey. These colourful keynotes will set the tone for the coming year and how love forms such an important part of their regional vision for 2024.
Keynote 2 – “Campfire Talk on Love and Business”
Joanne Lockwood (Chair of PSA UK & Ireland) and wife and business partner, Marie, join us for a very special “fireside” chat on mixing love and business. This dynamic duo share their experiences of the trials and tribulations of being a married couple whilst working together. They will answer the burning questions around “Does a romantic relationship and business work?” “What comes first, your love partner or business partner?”
With a jam packed agenda including two standout showcases, and diverse membership, come along to share in the great vibes of the PSA Southeast!
Keynote speakers
Fiona Bennett – aka “The Social Impact Crusader” is on a mission to help businesses find simple, pragmatic ways to drive social value AND growth. As well as holding an MBA with a specialism in social enterprise, Fiona draws on over 20 years’ experience working at a senior leader level in business and finance transformation across tech startups, to multi-nationals, public sector bodies and non-profits. Fiona shares her stories while employing humour to inspire audiences and equip them with practical takeaways to make lasting positive and impactful change.
Jo Lightfoot is a professional speaker, podcaster and property investor. But she wasn’t always.
It was leaving both her 9-5 job and marriage that set her on a path to explore personal and professional freedom and unlock her hidden potential.
During this transition, Jo experienced what can only be described as a sexual awakening in her life and businesses. She discovered that her creative and financial success was directly connected to her ability to channel our most primal human force. This realisation now forms her mission: to awaken others to their own sexual power and perform better as speakers.
Joanne Lockwood, Founder and CEO of SEE Change Happen, is an Inclusion and Belonging specialist, speaker, and Fellow of the PSA. She works with organisations throughout the UK, Europe and beyond, challenging corporate mentality, and providing a service that goes far beyond “just” Diversity & Inclusion. Living by the mantra: “Smile, Engage and Educate,” Joanne believes that people are people, whatever their ethnicity, gender and abilities, deserving to be treated with dignity and respect to work well and thrive.
