PSA Scotland November 2025: Exploring The Mind Of A Speaker

19 November|12:30 - 15:45|Virgin Money - Glasgow - See full address

About this event

This month in Glasgow, things are getting delightfully psychological!

For one day only, we’ll have two psychiatrists in the house, exploring what really goes on inside a speaker’s mind (and maybe yours too!). Expect insight, humour, and a few “aha” moments that just might change the way you think about communication, confidence, and connection.

Dr Tharaka Gunarathne, or simply Dr T, will dive into the fascinating psychology behind asking for your worth as a speaker.

Dr Rhona Morrison will share her powerful story of resilience, purpose, and hope, taking us from crime scenes to cruise ships.

Whether you’re a professional speaker, coach, trainer, or just speaker-curious, join us for a day that will both stretch your mind and fill your heart.

Join us in Glasgow on 19 November, seats are limited, minds will be opened, and laughter is guaranteed, plus some exciting announcements.

Dr T is based in Aberdeen, Scotland, is a three-times TEDx Speaker, Podcaster and TV Psychiatrist – appearing as resident Mind Expert on BBC Morning Live and celebrity shows including ITV’s “Big Brother”, Channel 4’s “Can I Improve My Memory”, and the world-first hit show, “Scared of the Dark”.

Having become a Medical Doctor around 20 years ago, and specialising as a Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr T now takes his insights on ‘Mindset and High Performance’ to audiences across the world, raising the roof at events with barrels of energy, joy and practical tools for transformation!

As creator of the ‘Mind, Action, Profit’ Blueprint, Dr T helps audiences upgrade their thinking, motivation, wellbeing and RESULTS. He believes that when you “manage the mind, you can manage the bottom line!”

Expect laughter, evidence-based insight, and plenty of “I needed to hear that” moments.

Dr Rhona Morrison

Psychiatrist and author Dr Rhona Morrison has lived a life less ordinary. Her memoirs, I Don’t Talk to Dead Bodies and From Crime Scenes to Cruise Ships, chronicle an extraordinary career that spans forensic psychiatry, complex investigations, and a journey towards joy and reinvention.

In her talk, Rhona will take us behind the scenes of her remarkable life, sharing the lessons she’s learned about resilience, meaning, and choosing to live and speak on purpose.

It’s a talk that’s equal parts gripping, uplifting, and unforgettable, the perfect reminder of why your story, too, has power.
